Collaboration Agreement Expiration Options

As a Collaboration Agreement for a project nears expiration, co-creators will have the option to renegotiate and renew its terms, thereby extending the availability of the co-created content for continued monetization. Alternatively, co-creators may choose to allow the agreement to expire, which will result in the project being archived and the associated content no longer eligible for publication on the platform.

Renewing the Collaboration Agreement

The coordinating creator is responsible for preparing proposed terms and distributing new Collaboration Agreement Terms to all involved co-creators of the collaboration project. As with the initial agreement, co-creators may discuss and negotiate proposed modifications with the coordinating creator prior to finalizing the renewed Collaboration Agreement.

What If Co-Creators can not agree on the new Collaboration Terms?

Renewal of the Collaboration Agreement requires unanimous consent from all participating co-creators. This ensures that all parties are in agreement regarding the continued use and monetization of the co-created content. Without unanimous agreement, the Collaboration Agreement cannot be renewed, and any subsequent posting of the co-created content on the platform may result in a Copyright Infringement Takedown Notice. This is to protect the rights of all creators involved and maintain compliance with copyright regulations.

What happens to the co-created content?

Upon the expiry of the Collaboration Agreement's publication period, the associated co-created content will be automatically archived and removed from public access. For further details, please refer to our article on the Archiving Feature for more information.

Important: Renewal and extension of a Collaboration Agreement for co-created content requires unanimous consent from all participating creators.

Archiving the Collaboration Agreement

In the absence of a unanimous decision, or should the decision be to allow the Collaboration Agreement to expire, all co-created content associated with the project will be archived and will no longer be available for publication on the platform.

For more information on archiving, please see our Archiving Feature article.

Note: Please maintain professionalism and respect the decisions made by co-creators regarding their choice on the renewal options of co-created content.
