Publish Period Extension VS Collaboration Agreement Renewal

A publish period extension specifically addresses the extension of the publication deadline, while a collaboration agreement renewal may involve additional modifications to various aspects of the agreement, such as pay-per-view pricing and creator revenue percent splits. Please refer to our article Renewing a Collaboration Agreement for more information.

Criteria for an Extension Request

Coordinating Creators are responsible for initiating a project's publish period extension on Miss Bliss through the projects 'Manage Project' functionality. Extension requests have a 5 year maximum request limit.

Co-Creators wanting to request a publish period extension should communicate their intention with the coordinating creator.

Locating the Extension Request

To locate the extension request functionality, simply click on the 3 dot menu from within a collaboration project > Select Manage Project.

Applying for an Extension

To initiate the extension request click > Manage Project > Request Change and follow the on screen instructions. Once submitted, all co-creators involved in the project will be notified to review he proposed changes.

Note: Publish period extension requests are not permitted within 7 days of a project's expiration. To continue the collaboration beyond the expiration date, please initiate a collaboration agreement renewal.

Extension Acceptance Criteria

After a request to extend a publish period has been initiated by the coordinating creator, all co-creators involved in the project will receive communication outlining the proposed extension details for their review and approval. An extension request can only be granted if:

  • The request is NOT submitted within 7 days of the collaboration's expiry date.
  • All co-creators involved have provided their consent to the proposed extension date.
  • The Miss Bliss Administration team has reviewed and approved the extension request in accordance with platform guidelines and policies.

Note: Miss Bliss reserves the right to decline any publish period extension request at its sole discretion.

Extension Request Approved

Upon approval of the extension request, the publish period will be automatically updated, and all project creators will be notified of the revised publish period.

Note: All content previous posted will automatically extend to the updated expiration date.

Extension Request Declined

In the event that the extension request is declined, all project creators will be notified, and the original publish period will remain in effect.

FAQs

I have requested an extension but a co-creator has not responded, will it be approved?

No. To ensure a smooth and collaborative process, unanimous consent from all co-creators is required for a publish period extension request to be approved.

Only one creator has declined the request, what can I do?

If one co-creator declines the extension request, it will not be approved. We recommend direct communication with the dissenting co-creator to explore potential resolutions and reach a mutual agreement. If no agreement is made, the extension request will not be approved.

I agreed to an extension however I have changed my mind. What can I do?

Once an extension request has been approved and the publish period updated, it will remain in effect for the duration of the agreed-upon period. While you may choose not to publish any content during this extended period, your co-creators may continue to publish content as per the revised timeline.
